I wish to gods I was joking with this. Yes, you get sent to the Iron Docks to "find help"...never mind you've got a whole Garrison of skilled people right there & access to Azeroth for anyone we need. Nope, the Alliance has mysteriously forgotten how to build ships & shipyards...until suddenly we remember and oops, wow, we had a shipwright all along!

Then the first ship you build gets blown out of the water, whole crew presumed dead, and after that, this "needed" Iron Horde Shipwright IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND IN YOUR GARRISON.

I have no idea if the Horde side quest is this idiotic, but right now, I'd fully back any rebellion to toss Varian off his throne.

Horde side, the orc stays since the Horde uses orcish tools. Lorewise, that was where he went after helping the Alliance, I trust

That's what I'm not getting: how are "orcish" tools any different than "human" tools? I saw orcs using hammers & saws & forges & whatnot whenever my little Horde toon wandered Ogrimmar...AND it's not like the Orc was doing all the work, anyway. That's what we have laborers for. AND the Orc knew enough about "human tools" to stick around for the building of our docks.

So if this orc was too stupid to be taught how to use a hammer, saw & forge -- and forging metal is pretty much the same process, culture to culture -- then why are we bothering using the idiot's plans & designs at all??

And lore-wise, that can't have happened, since judging by the Horde folks I saw on Iron Docks, Horde has to go rescue that orc's butt, too. So...the orc ran from the Alliance back to the Iron Docks & had to get re-rescued by the Horde. *points to above comments about idiot orc*

For us he is capable and competent, as usual, Blizz panders to our biases. :/

*stifled giggle* The equation of the situation suggests that the variable, the Iron Horde shipwright, was lying about his inability to use human tools. I know, I know. 'Shut up, deathie.' *sigh*
