For the '80s kids reading this, yes, this is my tribute to Berke Breathed's Bloom County. You can see the original here:

YES!!! One of my friends posted this on his FB, too. I just hope Breathed doesn't bring Outland into it...but man, I'm psyched!

Flying is back, are you coming back or has another game grabbed you?

Wow...haven't updated in so long, I missed this comment.

At this point, another game has grabbed me: Final Fantasy XIV, A Realm Reborn. I've been playing for a solid 5 months now, and still keep getting impressed by FFXIV. It's not perfect (no game ever is), but man, it's a damn sight better than Draenor...and everything I've been hearing about Legion doesn't tempt me in the slightest. It's doubtful I'll ever be back to WoW. It depends on what happens with Blizz.

Draenor's flying: tons of achieves, long pointless, boring grinds, so you basically get it long past the point it's useful...bah.

FFXIV: flying only in new expansion areas (I'm cool with that -- no different that no-flying in Vanilla WoW areas for that long time), you have to uncover quests & "aether currents" in each new zone to unlock it -- while it can be frustrating to find those things, it's not boring & doesn't feel grindy. It feels like I'm actually accomplishing something other than "kill tons of things", and flying is NEEDED if you want to advance in your profs in the expac.
